Livongo Mailed Diabetes A1c Program
EOCCO members enrolled in the Livongo Diabetes Self-Management (DSM) Program will be offered a chance to complete a mailed A1c test starting Wednesday, November 9th, 2022. EOCCO members will receive a notification to their meter after taking a reading with their blood glucose device (all members are provided with a meter upon DSM enrollment). You can watch this 2 minute video for more details on the member experience. Clinics will have an opportunity to receive the A1c results via secure email of their assigned patients who participated in the program. Q3 Language Access Report - Due 12/7
The Q3 2022 Language Access Report will be due to EOCCO on 12/7/22. This will include all visits where an interpreter was used between 7/1/22 – 9/30/22. If your site needs some assistance collecting information EOCCO can pull a report based on claims data for members who have indicated that their preferred language is not English. Please note that there may be additional members outside this list that used language assistance.

Join the Oregon ECHO Network (OEN) this winter for a broad slate of programs to help Oregon healthcare professionals support their patients through case-based learning. Winter programs include:

Upcoming Events & Trainings
No-Cost MAT Wavier Training
The Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS) Half and Half Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) waiver training course provides an overview of buprenorphine, one of three medications approved by the FDA for the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD).
This course fulfills the eight-hour requirement for providers who are eligible to prescribe buprenorphine in office-based settings for the treatment of OUD. The course also provides an overview of prevention, identification, and treatment of substance use disorders emphasizing OUD. Residents may take the course and apply for their waiver once they obtain their DEA license.
December 16, 2022, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Responsive Practice Training Opportunity:
Accessibility and Care for Individuals with Disabilities
The Oregon Office on Disability and Health (OODH) is now offering two free virtual trainings designed to increase disability awareness and improve access and inclusion within healthcare.
These two training modules are for anyone working in healthcare with an interest in improving their understanding of accessibility and providing care to individuals with mobility, developmental, and intellectual disabilities. The trainings come from the New Hampshire Disability and Health Program. Each module takes about 35 minutes, and upon completion, healthcare providers are eligible to receive free professional development credits.

Colorectal Cancer Screening for Rural Communities ECHO
The Oregon ECHO Network is excited to offer the Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Screening Outreach for Rural Communities ECHO program this coming spring. This 6-session ECHO will share evidenced-based approaches for clinical practices or regional health care organizations to improve colorectal cancer screening rates.
The sessions will cover topics such as how to identify patients for screening, implementing a program that fits local needs and unique barriers, and providing patient navigation throughout the screening process. They are recruiting program champions from health care or community organizations (health plans, health systems, or clinical practices) interested in improving CRC screening rates using population outreach.
This ECHO will be held via videoconference on 1st and 3rd Thursdays from noon -1 p.m., from March 23 - June 1, 2023.
